Stage 2

We've gone sunlit....! I've put down the base green colour for the meadow and have started to sculpt and define the elk more. I've got to be careful working with such direct opposite colours that the elk don't look stuck on - the purplely flowers that will be in the area around their legs will be very important here and they'll need some reflected light from this on their bellies. Again, green in very small quantities will be in their coats somewhere. Not too sure how the shadowy area to the top left will work yet, it definitely doesn't work being 'spikey' like this, so that needs attention.
